Job summary

Ryder is seeking a National Rental Customer Development Manager to lead a national portfolio of top rental accounts. This is a 100% sales role focused on retaining and growing revenue while expanding wallet share, with the West and Central regions in mind.

The position can be based remotely within the West or Central regions, requiring 60–75% travel. Base pay starts at $70,000 per year plus uncapped commission, with realistic first-year earnings around $115,000 and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Five or more years of sales experience with quota achievement.
• Experience as Rental Manager, RAM, or BDM on the lease side preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Marketing or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to build relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manages a book of approximately 100 top national rental accounts.
• Grows wallet share and revenue within assigned accounts.
• Develops sales plans and account communication plans.
• Schedules and leads customer meetings; builds relationships with all levels of the customer organization.
• Attends customer events and trade shows within the territory.
• Completes annual business reviews with assigned customers.
• Analyzes profitability and understands competitive influences and risks.
• Partners with RAMs to develop their skills and growth.
