Job summary
Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose using electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems, and provide on-site service at customer locations.
The role requires independent work, strong diagnostic abilities, and adherence to safety and DOT/FMCSA regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with relevant field experience.
- 3+ years of related field experience preferred.
- Experience with refrigerated equipment is a plus.
- DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to complete DOT forms and maintain documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose defects using diagnostic tools and hand/ Diesel tools.
- Maintain service truck and inventory, upload RO details via TRAIT app.
- Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals on estimates.
