Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will handle electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs across light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, coordinating with clients on-site.

Lead on jobsites, manage parts and equipment, and maintain safety and compliance per DOT/OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience.
• Must supply hand tools and be able to perform required duties.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems; perform advanced diagnostics.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance; document findings.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company service vehicle; perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Upload RO details and photos using company TRAIT app and maintain safety standards.
