Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading on-site mobile maintenance provider, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced vehicle diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will collaborate with technicians, triage complex repairs, and document findings using a company app.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical/hydraulic systems, road-testing vehicles, and managing parts on a company truck. OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance is required; a valid DOT card is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with related field experience.
• 3+ years in a related field, or 5+ years alternative combination of education/experience.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance knowledge is required or to be completed within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections for light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and document work using company tools.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the service truck and tools.
