Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-mid repairs on customer fleets. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems in a mobile/field setting.

The role requires ASE T8 within 18 months, a valid DOT medical card, and a clean driving record. Weekly pay, tool reimbursement, and career progression are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field, or 5 years’ related experience.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance and DOT medical card requirements; valid driver’s license; 21+.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, cooling, engine, and transmission systems as needed.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and functionality after service.
• Accurately document work and upload RO photos using TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with management for estimates and approvals.
