Job summary

Cox Fleet offers on-site mobile maintenance and repair nationwide. This Mobile Diesel Technician II role focuses on DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics for light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting.

You will work with a team, manage your daily schedule with independence, and use a company iOS device and TRAIT app to document work, RO notes, and parts used. DOT forms must be completed timely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; DOT/FMCSA knowledge preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• 3+ years in related field or 5 years with alternate qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and document findings; maintain RO records using TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck stock; coordinate with clients.
• Follow safety standards and complete all required DOT forms.
