Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to moderate repairs for a mobile fleet nationwide. Work is in a field/mobile setting, with safety and quality as priorities.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage parts on a service truck, document repairs via iOS TRAIT app, and coordinate with dispatch.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years in a related field or 5 years acceptable.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification preferred or obtained within 18 months.
• DOT regulatory compliance knowledge and ability to pass DOT pre-employment screening.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a service truck.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light/medium/heavy vehicles in mobile setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Document RO findings, parts used, and inspections via iOS TRAIT app.
