Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex diagnostics on a range of trucks in mobile/field settings. You will operate a company vehicle, manage parts, and document service activities using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role emphasizes independent scheduling, safety compliance, and strong diagnostic skills, with potential for performance incentives and expansion of responsibilities at leading Cox Fleet service centers

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required; 3 years related field experience, or 5 years with varied background.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• Candidate must pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and document findings on Repair Orders using TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and ensure safe operation of service vehicle.
