Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a senior Territory Manager, Middle Market Business Development in Commercial Lines to lead underwriting and growth across selected agencies within the Southern California territory. This remote-friendly role requires managing a defined renewal book and pursuing new business with personal underwriting authority.

You will travel ~25% to agency partners, with preferred residence in the LA/Orange County area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience with underwriting authority
• Experience handling accounts larger than 100k in DWP preferred
• Passion for driving profitable growth through agency engagement

Responsibilities

• Markets Nationwide products to drive agency and company results and supports agencies with growth strategies
• Underwrites and quotes new and renewal policies, including complex or service-sensitive accounts
• Drives profitable growth through development, negotiation and implementation of business plans
• Manages workflow and large, complex underwriting work with authority and cross-functional collaboration
• Leads agency visits and builds strong relationships with agencies, producers and key groups
