Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Territory Manager for Middle Market Business Development – Commercial Lines. This senior, individual contributor role focuses on manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, real estate, retail, and food service segments, with personal underwriting authority and profitability accountability.

The position is remote with approx. 25% travel to agency partners, ideally residing in LA/Orange County area.

Qualifications

• Multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience.
• Experience with underwriting authority.
• Experience handling accounts larger than $100k in DWP.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market conditions and research risks to win accounts.
• Underwrite and price new and renewal policies for complex accounts.
• Manage workflow and file handling to meet service levels; coordinate with team.
• Develop agency relationships and deliver business plans and profitability targets.
• Lead agency visits and drive pipeline management across territory.
