Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Medical Support Assistant (Remote) to serve as a frontline contact for Veterans and healthcare providers. You will help ensure a seamless patient experience across scheduling, referrals, and EMR documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of customer service, strong data entry, and excellent communication skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment. 100% remote with weekday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Typing speed of 50+ WPM.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
• Managing referrals and electronic consults.
• Supporting community care coordination efforts.
• Assisting Veterans by answering questions and connecting them with care teams.
• Updating and maintaining patient information in EMR.
• Documenting patient interactions accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborating with providers, nurses, and admin teams to support patient care.
• Ensuring privacy, security, and healthcare regulatory compliance.
