Job summary

CLFC Consultants LLC, doing business as CLFC Healthcare and Communications, is hiring entry-level Medical Support Assistants to support VA VISN 19. You work from home, scheduling primary care visits, specialty clinics, and community care, serving Veterans and families across the VISN 19 region.

This entry-level federal role requires at least six months of customer service experience, a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• English proficiency in speaking and writing; basic computer skills.
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
• Ability to pass a federal background investigation (NACI).
• Quiet home workspace within 50 miles of a VISN 19 VA Medical Center with reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for primary care, specialty clinics, and community care per directive.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Document interactions in CPRS and VistA; target about 20 cases per day.
• Coordinate with care teams and escalate issues through defined channels.
• Provide professional, empathetic customer service by phone and secure channels.
• Complete annual cybersecurity, Privacy Act, and HIPAA training and maintain confidentiality.
