Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers remotely. You will observe and document patient encounters, create structured notes, and help with coding and after-visit summaries.

Ideal candidates have clinical exposure or shadowing, strong listening and typing skills, and can adapt to new workflows while working about 40–45 hours weekly during clinic hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications (required).
• Prior clinical experience or shadowing preferred.
• Ability to adapt to new workflows and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in structured notes with history, assessment, plan, and exam.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare after-visit summaries.
• Support providers and care team with referrals, orders, and documentation tasks.
