Job summary

Oak Street Health MSO LLC is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with real-time clinical documentation. You will observe visits, document encounters, and help ensure accurate coding and comprehensive after-visit summaries.

Strong preference for prior clinical exposure, medical terminology knowledge, and the ability to type 70+ wpm. In-person clinic work and collaboration with care teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications (required).
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing/volunteering (strongly preferred).
• Prior scribe or transcription experience (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters ~80%.
• Join provider in exam room to observe patient visits.
• Document encounters in structured notes: HPI, assessment, plan, PE.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Support documentation improvements with population health tools.
• Assist with Daily Huddles and Clinical Documentation Reviews.
• Provide administrative support: orders and referrals.
