Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with real-time documentation and coding in a busy clinic environment. You will observe visits, document encounters, and help with after-visit summaries while learning value-based care workflows.

Ideal candidates will bring medical terminology knowledge, prior clinical exposure, and strong typing skills. This full-time role requires in-person work in our clinics, with a commitment of 1 year or longer.

Qualifications

• Advanced listening and communication skills are required.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new workflows.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by communities served is required where indicated.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in structured notes (history, assessment, plan, exam).
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Support clinical documentation improvement by reviewing records and coordinating with providers.
• Provide administrative support to the care team and assist with additional documentation duties.
