Job summary

MRO Corporation is seeking a Remote ROI Specialist to provide remote support for healthcare clients by processing Release of Information requests for patient records. You will determine records to release by HIPAA-compliant review and access data from client EHR systems and approved sources.

You will respond to inquiries by phone, email, and secure messages, log requests into Exchange Manager, and upload/index records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Release of Information in a physician's office or HIM Department is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Process ROI requests for patient records.
• Review requestor information per HIPAA guidelines and access data from EHR systems and approved sources.
• Respond to phone calls, emails, and secure messages from requesters.
• Log ROI requests into Exchange Manager.
• Upload and index electronic medical records in Exchange Manager.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements and remote work policies.
• Participate in virtual meetings and trainings.
• Maintain a private workspace and reliable internet connection.
