Job summary

Responsibilities

• Code medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions.
• Review complex records to ensure diagnostic and procedure specificity.
• Coordinate and review the work of subordinate staff.
• Assist with training and continuing education programs on coding.
• Ensure accurate DRG/APC assignment for reimbursement.
• Abstract data for optimal hospital/professional reimbursement.
• Educate physicians on coding practices and conventions.
