Duke Health is recruiting a Medical Records Coder II for our remote Patient Revenue Management Organization. This role codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT conventions to support hospital and professional charges.

You will coordinate work, train staff, and ensure accurate DRG/APC reimbursement while maintaining knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and coding guidelines.

This remote position requires residency in one of the approved states and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over 24 months.

Aufgaben

• Code medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT conventions.
• Coordinate/review the work of designated employees; assist with training.
• Abstract information from medical records following established methods.
• Review records to ensure accuracy of diagnoses, procedures and reimbursement.
• Educate physicians and staff on coding practices and conventions.
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
