Duke Health in the United States seeks a Medical Records Coder II for its Patient Revenue Management Organization. This 100% remote role codes medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4, audits documentation, and supports education programs to improve reimbursement accuracy.

Qualifications include RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D credentials and knowledge of DRG/APC reimbursement. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is paid in four equal installments over 24 months.

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC or HCS-D certification required.
• Active coding credentials; no experience required for RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D.
• Minimum high school diploma required; RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D preferred.

Responsabilités

• Code medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT conventions.
• Coordinate and review work of subordinate staff.
• Ensure accurate DRG/APC assignment and reimbursement.
• Educate physicians on coding practices and conventions.
