Job summary

Duke Health is hiring a Medical Records Coder II for a 100% remote position within the Patient Revenue Management Organization. You will code hospital and professional charges using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4, ensure accuracy, and support staff training and audits from your home office.

Required certifications (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D) and strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and DRG/APC reimbursement are essential. Eligible states include KY and others listed.

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC or HCS-D certifications required or active/current.
• Certified coder with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 knowledge.
• Strong anatomy, physiology and medical terminology background.

Responsibilities

• Code medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 conventions.
• Coordinate/review work of subordinate staff and assist training.
• Ensure accurate DRG/APC assignment and optimal reimbursements.
