Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. The role involves developing and delivering education for coders and clinicians, including in-person and virtual sessions, and maintaining a variety of training programs.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in medical coding, specialty coding experience, and AHIMA or AAPC certifications. This remote position offers full-time hours and growth opportunities within the Revenue Cycle

Qualifications

• 5+ years of medical coding experience including physician revenue cycle workflows.
• Specialty coding experience in surgical, anesthesia, hepatology, nephrology and other areas.
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding and documentation education to coders and clinicians, in-person and virtual.
• Develops education presentations, tools and documents for training.
• Identifies educational needs and coordinates sessions with coding leadership and teams.
• Maintains learning schedules using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams.
• Creates and maintains web-based coding education programs with clear objectives.
