Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. You will develop and deliver training for coders and clinicians, leveraging both in-person and virtual formats.

The role emphasizes adult learning, ongoing education program development, and close collaboration with Coding Leadership and IT. Remote-friendly with full-time hours, requiring AHIMA or AAPC certifications and 5+ years coding experience.

Qualifications

• Recent production coding and/or coding integrity experience preferred.
• Specialty coding experience across multiple physician specialties preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Five years of experience in medical coding related to revenue cycle workflows.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding and documentation education for coders and clinicians.
• Develops educational presentations, tools and documents for training.
• Identifies coding education needs and coordinates sessions with leadership.
• Schedules and delivers in-person and virtual trainings using learning platforms.
• Creates web-based coding education programs and tracks progress.
