Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. You will deliver in-person and virtual education, develop materials, and coordinate ongoing training for coders and clinicians across specialty areas.

This role emphasizes adult learning principles and flexible, remote teaching delivery. The ideal candidate has recent production coding experience, specialty coding expertise, and AHIMA or AAPC certifications.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Coding program.
• 5 years of medical coding experience including physician revenue cycle workflows.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding education for coders and clinicians, in-person or virtual.
• Develops and maintains coding education presentations, tools and documents.
• Identifies coder educational needs and coordinates training with leadership.
• Schedules education using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams.
• Creates web-based coding education programs and tracks progress.
