Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. This full-time, remote role collaborates with Coding Leadership and IT to deliver education and training across the organization.

The ideal candidate has extensive medical coding experience, AHIMA or AAPC certifications, and the ability to design engaging learning experiences for coders and clinicians. Travel may be required for in-person sessions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in medical coding, including physician revenue cycle processes.
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS guidelines.
• Advanced skills in adult learning concepts and training delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email and calendars.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coding Leadership, IT, Org development, Revenue Cycle, and Compliance leadership.
• Present coding and documentation education for initial training and continuing education for coders and clinicians.
• Identify educational needs and develop and provide one-on-one and refresher sessions.
• Apply adult learning principles to education and training and schedule presentations organization-wide.
• Develop and maintain web-based coding education programs and track progress.
