Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. The role involves delivering classroom and virtual education, developing materials, and aligning programs with organizational coding standards.

Requires recent coding experience and AHIMA/AAPC certifications; remote work is supported in multiple states, with a 40-hour week. AAPC/AHIMA credentials are preferred for Candidates.

Qualifications

• Recent production coding and/or coding integrity experience preferred.
• Specialty coding experience in surgical, anesthesia, pain management and other areas preferred.
• Familiar with adult learning principles for training clinicians and coders.

Responsibilities

• Lead coding education and training for coders and clinicians, in person or virtually.
• Develop and deliver educational presentations, tools and documents.
• Schedule and track educational programs using Learning Connection/ATMS/Teams.
• Identify coding education needs and tailor programs to meet them.
