Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to deliver coding education across PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. The role involves creating and presenting training, developing resources, and identifying educational needs for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and facilitate coding educational programs.
Experience with adult learning principles and training delivery.

Responsibilities

Present coding and documentation education for coders and clinicians (in-person and virtual).
Develop educational presentations, tools and documents.
Identify coding educational needs and report trends to leadership.
Maintain education schedules and schedule presentations organization-wide.
Develop and maintain web-based coding education programs and track progress.
Create training content with clear learning objectives and delivery formats.
Provide train-the-trainer sessions for instructors and update materials as needed.
