Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. The role focuses on delivering coding education and training for initial and ongoing development across remote and diverse settings.

The position requires 5 years of medical coding experience, AHIMA/AAPC certifications, and expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS. Expect collaboration with leaders and ongoing program development to enhance education offerings.

Qualifications

• Recent production coding and/or coding integrity experience preferred.
• 5 years of experience in medical coding including physician revenue cycle processes.
• Specialty coding experience across surgical, anesthesia, radiology and other areas is preferred.
• AHIMA/AAPC certifications are required (see Licensure section).
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Present coding and documentation education for initial training and continuing education to coders and clinicians.
• Develop and maintain coding education programs, materials, and presentations.
• Schedule and coordinate education sessions using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams.
• Identify educational needs and develop refresher sessions with leadership and teams.
• Create and update e-learning and in-person training content with measurable learning objectives.
