Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a remote, full-time Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. You will develop and deliver coding education programs, ensuring alignment with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and adult learning principles across the organization.

Requires AHIMA or AAPC certifications and ~5 years of medical coding experience, with advanced training in Medical Coding. Flexible schedule and remote work across multiple states are offered.

Qualifications

• Certification required: AHIMA or AAPC coding certifications (CCA/CCS-P/RHIA/RHIT or CPC).
• Advanced training beyond high school in Medical Coding Specialist.
• Typically 5 years of experience in medical coding including physician revenue cycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding and documentation education for coders and clinicians (in-person and virtual).
• Develops educational presentations, tools and documents for training.
• Identifies coder educational needs and coordinates programs with leadership.
• Maintains education schedules and uses Learning Connection/ATMS/Skype/Teams to schedule sessions.
• Creates and maintains web-based coding education programs; assigns lessons and tracks progress.
