Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams in a fully remote capacity. The role leads education efforts, develops programs, and trains coders and clinicians across physician revenue cycle processes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in medical coding, AHIMA/AAPC certifications, and expertise in adult learning. Travel may be required, and a flexible schedule is available for a nationwide remote position.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School in Medical Coding Specialist.
• 5 years of experience in medical coding including physician revenue cycle processes.
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning concepts and instructional delivery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coding Leadership, IT, Org development and RC leadership.
• Present coding education to coders and clinicians, in person or virtually.
• Identify coding education needs and develop targeted programs.
• Schedule and disseminate education using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype/Teams.
• Develop web-based coding education programs and track progress.
• Provide train-the-trainer sessions for supervisors and leads.
