Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a remote Medical Coder specializing in Surgery/Anesthesia to accurately assign codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT and HCPCS based on medical records.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of professional coding experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and relevant AHIMA or AAPC certifications. This full-time role offers remote work from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Coding experience required.
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Accepted certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CCA.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure correct code selection following coding guidelines and regulations.
• Abstract data from records and enter into the system for accurate billing.
• Identify missing or conflicting documentation and request physician clarification.
