Job summary

Arbor Health seeks a Coder II to review medical records and assign precise ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters. You will use Cerner and the 3M encoder to support accurate reimbursement, research, and quality initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold RHIT/CCS/CPC credentials or are pursuing them, have 5+ years of coding experience, and a solid grasp of medical terminology. A remote option may be available for Washington state residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of inpatient/outpatient coding experience.
• RHIT/CCS/ CPC certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS coding rules.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for reimbursement and quality reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize coding tools and references and query providers for documentation gaps.
