Job summary

North Healthcare is seeking a Coder I to review and code diagnostic and procedural data using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding for reimbursements. You will assign and sequence codes per guidelines and query physicians when information is incomplete. This role supports accurate coding and timely submission of claims.

Remote work is offered; candidates must reside in eligible states. One year hospital coding experience and credentials (CCA/CCS/CIC-ICD/COC/CPC/RHIA/RHIT) are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• One year hospital coding in a healthcare setting.
• Professional credentials such as CCA, CCS, CIC-ICD, COC, CPC, RHIA or RHIT are required or preferred.
• Desired: one year coding in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and code diagnostic and procedural information using ICD-10-CM and CPT for reimbursement.
• Assign and sequence ICD-10-CM/CPT codes by applying coding guidelines.
• Query physicians for diagnoses or missing information to ensure accurate coding.
