Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM codes, CPT codes with modifiers for professional services; ensure accurate coding for proper reimbursement
• Provide information to physicians and staff on current coding practices and regulatory changes
• Review and abstract provider documentation for diagnoses, procedures, and related services; obtain missing information as needed
• Independently manage high volumes of coding-related tasks within departmental standards
• Maintain professional certification and participate in continuing education programs
