Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT with analytical/data-mining skills.
• Must interpret regulations and ensure compliance with coding and billing rules.
• Experience collaborating with physicians and health care staff.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes accurately and productively.
• Assign HCPCS and CPT codes for services rendered.
• Group codes into payment categories and analyze for proper reimbursement.
• Review NCD/LCD/CCI edits and apply changes or modifiers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with coding, billing and data collection rules.
• Provide guidance to clinicians on coding practices and changes.
