Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years of coding and 1 year of medical office related experience
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or CCS-P

Responsibilities

• Assigns diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems with advanced accuracy and efficiency.
• Audits physician documentation and serves as a resource for the department.
• Provides mentorship and training to Specialty Coder I team members and clinical coding students.
• Contributes to coding quality and departmental development.
