Job summary

Premier Nutrition is seeking a Market Development Manager to own a territory and drive in-store growth with retailers and distributor partners. This field-based role involves frequent travel, building relationships, and executing plans at store level to maximize distribution and visibility.

You will ride with distributors, open new accounts, and leverage data to prioritize opportunities, aiming to convert plans into measurable retail results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant experience in field sales, DSD, beverage/CPG, distributor sales, merchandising, supplier sales, or a comparable environment with direct retail execution.
• Demonstrated ability to call on retail accounts, sell incremental opportunities, and manage priorities across a territory.
• Experience working with distributor teams or successfully navigating a distributor-led environment.
• Ability to operate independently, manage a fast-moving field schedule, use data and KPIs to prioritize work, and follow through.

Responsibilities

• Own an assigned territory and deliver against sales, distribution, display, and execution goals.
• Call on chain and independent retailers, open new accounts, close distribution gaps, and identify incremental growth opportunities.
• Sell new SKUs, displays, and secondary placements, then ensure execution happens in store.
• Use data and KPIs to prioritize opportunities and focus time where it can have the greatest impact.
• Participate in distributor ride-alongs, trainings, and market blitzes; build strong relations with distributor teams.
