Job summary

Premier Nutrition Company (PNC) is seeking a Market Development Manager to own a territory, grow in-store results, and drive distribution with retailers and distributor partners. This field-based role involves frequent local travel and close collaboration with product teams to ensure plan execution in stores.

The MDM will leverage data and KPIs to prioritise opportunities, call on chain and independent retailers, and build strong distributor relationships while leading market execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in field sales, DSD, beverage/CPG, distributor sales, merchandising or similar.
• Ability to call on retail accounts and manage priorities across a territory.

Responsibilities

• Own an assigned territory and deliver against sales, distribution, display and execution goals.
• Call on chain and independent retailers, open new accounts, close distribution gaps, identify growth opportunities.
• Sell new SKUs, displays and secondary placements, ensure in-store execution.
• Use data and KPIs to prioritise opportunities and focus where impact is greatest.
• Hands-on execution, building/filling/maintaining displays when needed.
• Build relationships with distributor reps and participate in ride-alongs and trainings.
• Own distributor relationships and monitor territory performance against KPIs.
• Follow up on orders/deliveries/execution and ensure retail results.
• Maintain territory planning, reporting, scorecards, expenses, and admin tasks.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager and cross-market counterparts.
