Job summary

Motorola Solutions, including its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps customer needs and trends. You will support USMC acquisition stakeholders and demonstrations across expeditionary, littoral, and tactical edge environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel, a SECRET clearance, and collaboration with Engineering and BD teams to ensure field-readiness of the StreamCaster portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and live field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing data and verify architectures.
• Maintain alignment with the Business Development team to support technical needs and priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP proposal responses.
• Perform market research on potential integrations with industry partners.
