Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer specializing in CICS to deliver premium support to z/OS environments across the United States. The role combines hands-on installation, maintenance, and fast issue resolution for OEM products, with a focus on CICS TS.

You will join a 24/7 on-call operation with schedule discipline, collaborate across teams, and contribute to migrations and disaster recovery exercises while following Ensono standards and ITSM processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough working knowledge of CICS TS capabilities, installation and tailoring.
• Strong knowledge of IBM’s SMP/E.
• Analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts and configuration.
• Experience with monitoring tools for CICS TS regions.
• Self-motivated and independent worker.
• Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines and high pressure.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS issues and OEM products.
• Provide 24x7x365 on-call coverage in multiple time zones.
• Follow procedures for installing OEM software per Ensono standards.
• Collaborate across towers to prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrades.
• Support customer migrations related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist project manager in timely migrations of new customers.
• Execute disaster recovery tasks in coordination with DR services.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures and implement fixes.
