Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer focused on CICS to provide premium support for mainframe z/OS environments across multiple time zones. You will handle CSOs, install OEM products, and lead migration activities while coordinating with Disaster Recovery and ITSM processes.

You should bring 10+ years on zSeries with hands-on CICS TS and SMP/E, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure. OT and on-call work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 10+ years experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS concepts and installation/tailoring.
• Experience with IBM SMP/E and monitoring CICS TS performance tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and team skills.
• Able to work independently and under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers related to CICS TS.
• Provide primary support for CICS TS and OEM products.
• Offer 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software products per best practices and Ensono standards.
• Collaborate to prepare partitions for annual OS upgrades via checklists.
• Support customer migrations related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist project managers with migrations of new customers.
• Coordinate disaster recovery tasks with DR Services.
• Adhere to schedules for resource management and timely implementations.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures and apply vendor fixes.
• Upgrade and enhance z/OS products as needed.
