Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to lead governance and controllership for LTC models and processes, based in Richmond, VA with Remote US options within Eastern/Central Time. You will become the expert on LTC model data, controls, and processes to ensure compliance with company, industry, and actuarial standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support model peer reviews, and expand governance to new teams and products while driving documentation and transparency

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, or related major.
• FSA designation or ASA with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably with LTC insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of actuarial processes: valuation, projections, and experience.
• Results oriented, accountable for performance, and willingness to take ownership.

Responsabilités

• Oversee LTC control environment and ensure consistent design across teams.
• Provide guidance on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on systems and data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model and process documentation to increase transparency.
• Support governance reviews and expand oversight to new teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and guidance on governance processes.
