Genworth in Richmond, VA is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to join the Model Governance and Controllership team. You will oversee LTC models, data and controls, ensuring compliance with standards and transparent documentation.

The role collaborates across valuation, projections, experience, and data analytics teams, supporting model peer reviews and expanding governance to new products. This hybrid position offers remote options within Eastern/Central time zones.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, or related field.
• FSA designation or ASA with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably with LTC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interact professionally in a team environment.
• Knowledge of valuation, projections, and experience processes.
• Results-oriented with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LTC control environment with cross-team collaboration.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and improve them.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on system and data issues and controls.
• Develop model governance documentation for transparency and understandability.
• Provide governance peer-review support for LTC models and processes.
• Expand governance to emerging teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and governance guidance.
