Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary, Controllership Oversight, to lead governance of LTC models and processes from Richmond, VA with optional remote work across Eastern/Central Time zones. You will guide control design, documentation, and peer reviews to ensure compliance with professional standards.

You will collaborate across valuation, projections, experience, and data analytics teams, driving transparency and strong governance for regulatory and business needs.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, or related major.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation or Associate (ASA) with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably with LTC insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of actuarial processes: valuation, projections, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the LTC control environment and ensure cross-team consistency.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on system and data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model and process documentation to improve transparency and accessibility.
• Provide governance peer reviews and support for LTC actuarial models and processes.
• Expand governance oversight to include emerging teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and guidance on governance processes.
