Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary, Controllership Oversight, to lead governance of LTC models and controls. The role requires in-depth knowledge of valuation, projections, and data processes, with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Remote US (Eastern/Central) with time-zone flexibility and strong communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate holds an actuarial designation (FSA/ASA) and 5+ years of LTC actuarial experience, and will improve control design,

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, or related major.
• FSA designation or ASA with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years actuarial experience, preferably with LTC insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of actuarial processes: valuation, projections, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LTC control environment across teams and ensure design adherence.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on data issues and controls.
• Support development of model/process documentation for transparency.
• Provide governance peer reviews for LTC models and processes.
• Expand governance to include new teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and governance guidance.
