Job summary

Genworth, a leading long-term care and family care company, seeks a Senior Actuary for Controllership Oversight in a role based in Richmond, VA with remote options across Eastern/Central Time zones.

You will govern LTC models, data, and controls, ensuring compliance with professional standards. You’ll collaborate with valuation, projection, and experience teams, contributing to model governance and documentation, while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance or related field.
• FSA or ASA designation with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience (LTC preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LTC control environment and ensure design consistency across teams.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model/process documentation to increase transparency.
