Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to join the Controllership Oversight team, focusing on governance and controls for LTC models and processes. The role emphasizes valuation, projections, and process improvement within a remote US setting.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee model governance, and contribute to timely project delivery across Eastern/Central time zones. A strong actuarial foundation and LTC experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, and/or related major.
• Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate (ASA) with commensurate experience.
• Approximately 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably LTC insurance.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of valuation, projections, and experience in actuarial processes.
• Results oriented, accountable for performance and ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Review existing controls for key high-risk processes and make improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on administration system and data issues and controls.
• Provide governance peer review support for the development and enhancement of LTC actuarial models and processes.
• Support the model governance team to complete model peer reviews and provide additional analyses as needed.
