Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services in the Supply Chain unit. This is a virtual role open nationwide in the United States, reporting to the Director of Supply Management.

You will lead sourcing, negotiations, and supplier performance across transportation, fleet, and related logistics services. You will develop category strategies, drive cost and service improvements, and partner with internal stakeholders to deliver measurable value while managing risk and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for assigned logistics services.
• Lead complex sourcing from strategy to negotiation and implementation.
• Develop contracts and pricing strategies while managing risk and compliance.
• Analyze spend and drive cost, service, and performance improvements.
• Analyze spend, market conditions, and requirements to support sourcing decisions.
• Define KPIs, governance, and performance management for suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal clients and stakeholders to enable successful sourcing initiatives.
• Maintain category documentation and provide timely reporting on activities and performance.
