Job summary
American Red Cross seeks a skilled Category Manager, Logistics Services to lead sourcing strategy across transportation, fleet, and courier services. You will manage complex negotiations, supplier performance, and cost improvements to support mission-critical logistics operations.
Reporting to Supply Management, you will work with cross-functional teams to deliver value, ensure risk mitigation, and sustain service quality in a national scope.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's in Supply Management or related field; Master's preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in related role; large organization spend experience preferred.
- Travel: Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and execute category strategies for logistics services.
- Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy through market assessment and selection.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms while managing risk.
- Analyze spend and market conditions to improve total cost, service, and performance.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk, and Analytics to evaluate alternatives and business cases.
- Define KPIs, service levels, and governance for supplier performance.
