Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services within the Supply Chain Business Unit. This is a virtual position and can be located anywhere in the United States.

The role partners with internal clients, Supply Management colleagues, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to develop category strategies and lead sourcing and negotiations. You will manage supplier performance, monitor KPIs, and drive cost, service, efficiency, and risk improvements.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field; Master's preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience; experience managing third-party spend in a large organization.
• Certifications preferred: C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for logistics services based on business requirements, spend, demand analysis, and market intelligence.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy to contracting and implementation; identify innovations.
• Develop strategies and lead negotiations for contracts and pricing with suppliers.
• Analyze procurement spend and identify opportunities to improve total cost, service, efficiency, and risk; track measurable value.
• Analyze spend, market conditions, and business requirements; support fact-based sourcing decisions with stakeholders.
