Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a Category Manager, Logistics Services within the Supply Chain unit. This is a virtual role location-flexible across the United States, partnering with internal clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to develop category strategies and lead sourcing and negotiations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in supply management (master's preferred), 7+ years of experience, and certifications such as C.P.M./CPSM are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Professional certification (C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM, etc.) preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience in large organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for assigned logistics services.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy to contracting and implementation.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms.
• Analyze spend and opportunities to improve cost, service, and risk.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk, and Analytics for business cases and decisions.
• Define KPIs, service levels, and governance with suppliers.
• Manage supplier performance and risk, and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide timely reporting on sourcing activities and outcomes.
